Five Weeks Old

Yesterday B turned 5 weeks old. He still has a nice receding hairline and dark blue/gray eyes. His biggest achievement this past week was becoming more aware of the world around him and following people with his eyes. Bennett was not too keen to model for his 5 week old photos. He spent most of the photo shoot either staring off into space, yawning, or pouting. 

To celebrate his birthday, B's Grandpa and I took him to the Macy's flower show.  Here are some pictures of him admiring the flowers. (He slept the whole time) Can't believe it's already been five weeks!

These pictures were taken around 11:00 am, pretty much exactly three weeks from the time he was born.

Like Mother, Like Son

I sucked my thumb for far longer than I'd like to admit.  Tonight, B stuck his thumb in his mouth, when his meal wasn't ready as quickly as he would've liked. Let's hope this is a one-time thing! At least he is smart for knowing to hold it in with his other hand.  That's something, right?
