Out
Bennett said he was tired around 3 so I put him in the carrier but he was so hot he couldn't sleep. So then we laid on the couch.

Pumpkin
We had many goals to accomplish this weekend. We wanted to go to an apple orchard. Didn't do that. We wanted to walk to Caribou. Didn't do that. Wanted to bake. Didn't do that. We wanted to clean. Did some of that. But one thing we did accomplish was this:
It's a baby in a pumpkin! Why? Oh, you know, fall, October, Halloween, and mostly because we have a baby and he can fit into pumpkins!!
Don't be fooled though. It wasn't all happy, fun and games. Bennett has been running a temp again this weekend. We're not sure what is going on, but at the worst today, he had a temp of 102 and some diarrhea. We plan on calling the doctor tomorrow to see if we need to bring him in. But because of that (and probably because he was sitting in a pumpkin) there was a little bit of this too:
But when I think back to this day, I'm going to remember the smiley baby in the pumpkin.

31 Weeks
I spent more time fishing leaves out of his mouth than taking pictures.
Bennett is now a crawling machine. People at class even commented on how different he is now, versus the first class we attended two weeks ago. He didn't even want to sit still when we sang songs, because he wanted to explore on his own. He is really proud of his new skills and everyone is taking notice!
Bennett still loves to try foods. His new trick is "Yay for yogurt!" He loves yogurt, and after he takes a bite, we go "yay for yogurt!" and he claps. His new food this week was tasting star fruit. He didn't seem to mind the sour taste and went in for a few bites.
Again, he's doing really well with crawling and can take off across carpet. The teacher at ECFE commented on how it was clear he was proud of his new skill. He really does beam when he shows off a new skill. Bennett is on the mend from last week's sickness. He is still congested and has some problems breathing when he is laying down, so he has slept with us a few nights this week. Despite being congested he is still pretty happy. There have only been a handful of times where he gets grumpy that he can't breathe, but gets over it after a few minutes.

7 Months
Here are Bennett's 7 month photos. They were taken on the day but posted a bit late. We were in New London on the days, it's a location shoot! We didn't have much time, but here they are:

Sick Day
Today was our first time staying at home to take care of our sick kid. It all started Saturday morning when Bennett woke up and started sneezing. It started with just a few sneezes and became progressively more frequent as the day went on. Finally at the end of the day Bennett was dressed for bed and had just finished eating. I was in the process of burping him when he threw up all over us. I had to text "help" to Joel since we were both covered with puke and then he came to change Bennett so that I could change. Afterwards we decided I should try to feed him again so I sat down, Joel handed Bennett to me and as soon as he say on my lap he threw up over us again. It was actually quite comical.
Someone was very excited to see me. Joel ended up going into work around 12 and Bennett and I went to MOA. I figured he could use some distraction from the sickness and I didn't want to sit in the house all day long.
He had a lot of fun crawling around the bed and climbing on me. Obviously he was incredibly awake and in a fun mood so neither of us got a nap.
Afterwards Bennett tried spinach (mixed with sweet potato) for the first time. He was pretty congested and didn't feel like eating but kept trying to feed himself which made a huge mess. He seemed to have a good time though.
So our first sick day was a success. I'm just lucky this kid is so dang happy.
That night Bennett slept with us and woke up frequently. At 3 am we took his temp and it was 101.3 so we gave him Tylenol. It was his first time taking it and he was able to sleep. The next morning his temp was still above 100 when the Tylenol wore off so we gave him a little more. The worst part about this cold is the gigantic snot bubbles he makes and when he sneezes out snot slime. I never know whether to laugh or gag when it happens. Other than that Bennett was his usual happy self. He still had a temp Sunday night so we decided its be best for us to take a sick day and stay with him.
It was a good idea to do so because Sunday night was rough. Bennett went to bed around 9 but woke up every 45 mins crying. He was in bed with us but would fuss anyways. Finally around 1:30 he fell asleep until 4 and then cried for 30 mins. I was planning on going into work for a few hours Monday and briefly considered going in really early but eventually fell back asleep.
This was the first time Bennett was in the carrier at the mall and he loved looking around. He slept on the ride home but it wasnt a good nap so we laid in our bed for some quiet time.

Sometimes I have to remind him to smile:
He also practiced squating. He has figured out how to get into this position on his own so I have a feeling standing isn't too far away.
