Well, Bennett has had quite the day so far. We got an email from his daycare saying:
Bennett
bit another child in the big room. It did break the skin but it was
thru clothing. When this happens we have you guys sign a form at pick
up. Oksana will have it for you. I think he was just curious- we'll keep
an eye on him to try to prevent more biting. Biting is VERY normal
for this age :)
So that's nice. We have a biter! Now they are getting ready for nap time and reading one of their favorite books 'Pajama Time'. Bennett's legs are on the left of the photo.

Furniture!
Bennett got some furniture of his very own, thanks to Grandma Swenson, and it's clear to see he's loving it! Plus, it make it easier for him to look outside, which he loved to do!

A great day turned into a turd quickly
All was well. I was gathering clothing intro house for laundry, Vanessa was lying down because she was tired in the couch. Bennett was pushing his walker around. Then it happened.
My guess was it was luca, she looked nervous when I was collecting clothing...
I came downstairs and seem that Bennett had maybe thrown up some peas on his walked-I was wrong... It was worse....
I smelled his hands... Poo... I immediately exclaimed, "Vanessa! What happened-why does Bennett smell like poop?!!!"
"I don't know!!!" She yelled back.....
Look closely...
Bennett had poo all over his hands, feet and calves... Smelled terrible.
Vanessa began to dry heave. I said, " get out! I'll take care of this...
There is poo everywhere... Bennett had been pushing his walker for 5-10 mins... With poo on the tires... Driving it onto the shag carpet.......
How Vanessa was unable to smell everything happening as she lied on the couch is beyond me...

Vanessa & Bennett
I found some photos of when I was one year old, give or take a week. Here are the comparisons with Bennett from the same age range.
Unrelated fun fact: We found out Bennett knows how to say 'bubbles' today. We were blowing bubbles outside and he was going crazy screaming "buh-bul" over and over. Amazing! Yesterday, he was shaking his finger at us saying "no, no, no," so he must be a naughty kid at daycare. We wonder how much more he knows that he isn't showing us! So far he can say 'mama,' 'dada,' 'dung dung' for light, 'bubble,' and 'no.' He also makes truck sounds (which he uses for all moving vehicles), roars like a lion, blows like an elephant, and makes a fish mouth. He must do the truck sounds often, because Joel caught him doing it at daycare once and his teacher goes, "Yes, Bennett. That is a truck. Vroom vroom is a truck," so they've caught on to his little noises. In addition to his jerky little robot dance moves, he also shakes his butt and stomps his foot when he hears music. His favorite song is 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' and will do the hand motions of a spider when he wants us to sing it. It's really amazing how much he's picking up!
