August's Birthday Party

It is hard to believe August turned 1 over the weekend. I remember the day he was born. We were running errands and checked our phones to see what Tony and Nicole were up to, and saw they were at the birthing center. I remember thinking that if they were having a baby, ours wouldn't be far behind. Then August arrived and it was pretty surreal to meet him, knowing soon it'd be our baby that I'd be holding... This year celebrating August's birthday means Bennett's is just around the corner. It's amazing how quickly a year flies by.

The party was a success. Bennett got to play with a balloon for the first time. We tied one to his wrist and he had the best time waving his arm around, making the balloon fly around. 

Best buds. Every time they see each other, they get the biggest grins on their faces.

Over the weekend, Joel and Bennett started a circus act. Joel would hold him high above his head, then drop and catch him. Bennett loved it so much, when Joel would stop, he'd cry and throw a temper tantrum. (Yes, temper tantrums are starting.)
