Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday
Caroline: Played with phones, big room, grouptime, played with blocks, played in kitchen area, played with dolls, played in dress up, read a story.
I should note that Caroline loves to color. Unlike Bennett, she asks to do it, and can sit for a while drawing. 9 times out of 10, when I ask her what she is drawing, she says a "meow." Always cats.

Bennett: Today in our "Small group", we talked about our Sense of Touch. We took an item from the box and held it in our hands. We described the item and how it felt in our hands. We also traced with our pointer finger sandpaper letters. We made a color graph by taking color felt swatches. We divided the graph into four colored bars. We learned that some friends had more blue than pink, etc. We played with magnets and nuts and bolts.

Thursday
Caroline- Played with legos, played with magnets, looked at books, big room, grouptime, played in water with dinosaurs, danced to music, played with blocks, played with dolls.

Bennett - Today in our "Small Group" we learned the sound of the letter "a". We used tongue depressors to sound out the letter "a". We traced the letter "a" with a crayon. We learned that alligator, Apple, and ant all start with the letter "a". We colored pictures that start with "a". We played with cars, practiced our cutting skills and played an opposites matching game.

Friday
Caroline- Playing Mommy & Daddy with their baby

We didn't do too much over the weekend. The kids have been staying up later and later (around 8 for Caroline and 9 for Bennett). This has been very trying... On Saturday morning we went to an indoor ECFE event, which the kids enjoyed. Bennett started playing immediately, but Caroline needed some time to warm up with the unfamiliar surroundings. In the evening, we watched a movie. I put on 'Minions' but the kids got scared pretty quickly. Any kind of suspense seems to terrify them, so we ended up watching a cartoon of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.' Sunday we cleaned in the morning while the kids went crazy in the house, then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for the rest of the day. Caroline started getting a little cold over the weekend, and has been sneezing a lot. We just realized she hasn't had an ear infection since the week before Thanksgiving, so nearly two months! And she hasn't been sick much either, unlike previous winters where she basically had a nonstop cold. Hopefully she doesn't get an ear infection with this cold!
