The only gift I wanted for Mother's Day was to have a functioning patio, so that was the big task all of May. We started by removing the existing patio blocks and rebar one rainy Saturday. This was the aftermath:
We built a new flower bed in front of the living room windows:
For some reason, she lost her clothing:

Bennett needed to make an "All About Me" poster for school. It turned out quite well. I am so proud of it!
Bored at Bennett's t-ball practice, Caroline would take selfies and play on the playground:

T-ball game Saturdays. It was quite a big change to have a standing Saturday event, but Bennett's t-ball games were pretty fun. He really developed a lot in the two months he was playing. Half of the season was spent using the tee, the other half was coach pitch. Bennett was pretty amazing the second half of the season, hitting from the balls pitched to him. On top of that, he grasped the concept of playing defense, throwing the ball to the nearest base to get someone out. It was quite amazing, considering the first few practices fielding, the entire team would run to the ball, despite where it was hit and where they were standing. He definitely seems to have a natural talent for the game.

New London / Cousin Weekend:
We went to New London to hang out for the day, and came back with two nieces for the weekend. It was our first cousin sleepover... much less for two nights, but the kids had a lot of fun. We took the girls to Benihana for the first time, and both said it was their favorite restaurant ever.

| Caroline had a lump on her neck, which freaked us out. Turns out she had some bad gnat bites, that caused her lymph nodes to flare up. |

May was busy! We spent most of our weekends working on the patio. Bennett had t-ball and swim lessons. That pretty much consumed our whole month!
