36 Weeks

Bennett's 36 week birthday fell on Halloween, so he was pretty miserable because he did not enjoy being Paddington Bear. The bear costume was too hot, so he was miserable with the coat on top. He hated the boots, hated the hood and hated the hat. Did not enjoy a thing, so much so that his legs would collapse because he did not want to take pictures. Mommy and Daddy worked hard to make is costume. At 8:30 on Wednesday night, Daddy drove 20 minutes to get his rain boots. Mommy made his hat from felt, removed the buttons from his coat and put on toggles (which she made from buttons, cording and felt), made his tag and put the 'P.B' on the suitcase. It was hard work, but we did it! It's too bad Bennett wouldn't cooperate but Mommy and Daddy persevered and pictures were taken!

Bennett is definitely growing up. He likes to eat whatever we are eating, and is particularly fond of sweets, like his parents. Cake, pastries, ice cream, he loves it all. He also eats vegetables well, and likes proteins. Bennett is just a good eater and always willing to try.

On Bennett's 36th week birthday, he went up his first step. Luckily, Daddy was right there when it happened. After he was on the first step, he realized he couldn't get down, and started whining for help. I hope this was a fluke and not a new skill he has acquired.

Bennett has been jabbering a lot this week. He likes to click his tongue and make the S sound. Bennett has five teeth and is working on his bottom right one. I think because of his new tooth, he likes to suck in his cheeks and make a funny face. It's pretty cute!
