Monday

Tuesday
Playing with flour and cars:

Joel was out of town and it was a beautiful night so we had a picnic at a park.  The kids were really excited about the picnic and ate really well. Then we chased each other on the playground. It was a lot of fun. Bennett is really quick, so it's quite the challenge and workout to play with him. It's been a long time since I've felt the fear of being chased on the playground.

After the park, the kids took a shower. The kids have had few showers, since we don't have the best shower setup in either of our bathrooms. Bennett was squealing. He called it the tickle machine.

Then the kids lotioned up. Caroline probably just half of the jar of lotion, it's one of her favorite things to do.

Wednesday

Caroline came home from daycare with her first set of double french braids:

Friday
Pajama day:

Bennett was show and telling his jacket... sometimes we're the worst parents and forget to send him to daycare with something to show. His teacher told me once that Bennett told her, "My dad said I should show my jacket." (Joel didn't say that.) Apparently he talks about how he likes to pretend his jacket is a cape, which is true. He does this often.

After daycare we went out to eat. Bennett ordered grilled cheese (which he barely touched) but it was HUGE. I made him hold it up to his head for comparison:

Then Caroline went into the Claire's store, which seems to be her favorite, and tried on headbands:

Sunday
Caroline helped me make french toast. She was surprisingly eager to cook, and incredibly proud of herself.

Showing off the necklace she beaded:
