Friday

After daycare, we got dressed up go to to a party. Caroline picked out her entire outfit, headband, wings and all. 

Saturday

Bennett woke up and went out to play, even before having breakfast. Notice he is wearing his goggles. They're a thing now. He just wears them everywhere, as if they're sunglasses. 

Then we went to Chutes and Ladder park. Caroline fell asleep on the drive there, surprise surprise.

In the evening we went to a bbq at Joel's coworkers house. Bennett found some new friends and was occupied the entire time. Then he woke up the next morning asking if we could go back to their house.

Sunday

We went to the cemetery in the morning. Caroline fell asleep on the drive there. Surprise Surprise. Then we went out to lunch. After lunch, it was clear she wasn't going to nap, so we went shopping. It was actually a lot of fun, but she started to get tired towards the end... so I got her a smoothie from Caribou:

Monday was dreary, but the perfect day for the romper Nicole bought Caroline last year. Caroline wasn't a fan but I convinced her to wear it for some pictures, because it is so adorable:

After nap time on this long weekend, we were all near our breaking point. It really didn't help that Monday was so dreary that we couldn't send the kids outside. They were actually playing really well together, just very loudly. They made a fort out of a big box, and were both telling each other about the book they were reading. They were literally talking over one another, explaining the book, as if the other person was listening:
