Nova Scotia Day 1

Our flights to Nova Scotia were uneventful but we did visit two lounges. As if the kids weren’t spoiled enough from all the traveling, getting to enjoy the amenities of the lounges is icing on the cake.

Caroline striking a pose with our two carry on bags. We also had two bookbags, two car seats and a stroller.

They brought Caroline’s doll a seatbelt too:

After landing in Halifax, my uncle picked us up and we had dinner at his house. It wasn’t too eventful but there is a two hour time difference from Minnesota. The kids fell asleep around 10 pm.

The next morning we woke up late, around 9. We were so tired from the traveling the day before. After breakfast at uncles, we went to Tangled Gardens, a little garden to visit, where they serve high tea.

Caroline throwing a tantrum because she didn’t want to walk. This girl hates walking. I don’t know how she is going to function in life. But she was also a little hungry.

Another tantrum due to hungry and needing to walk:

More tantrum:

Ice cream! Tangled gardens had fantastic ice cream, using fresh herbs from the garden. Chocolate mint for Caroline and lavender strawberry for Bennett. The real mint in Caroline’s and vanilla bean test in Bennett’s were incredible. Definitely the best ice cream.

After ice cream we stopped at the Domaine de Grand Prix for a tasting and lunch. The kids occupied themselves:

Very excited for her pink mason jar cover and pink straw:

PEI mussels for a starter:

Lobster roll and halibut and shrimp cakes.

Drizzle cake for dessert:

Back at uncles Caroline took the most uncomfortable looking nap:

Then everyone else showed up and we had dinner.
