Spain Day 6

Quick update today since the WiFi here is terrible. We had a day of sightseeing in Granada. We didn’t have too much of an agenda but made our way to the cathedral to check it out. We got audio guides and Caroline took mine, so I don’t know what the significance of much is. Speaking of Caroline, she was in A MOOD today. So many tantrums. Plus we started off the morning without a stroller. That was a horrible mistake. We ended up carrying her most of the day. We also saw the royal chapel, although no photos could be taken there, so most photos were taken in the cathedral. 

The kids found a pigeon nest outside our hotel room.

We were trying to get the kids to give the street performer money by they wouldn’t, so Joel did:

We had fantastic croquettes. One had meat and potatoes. It was by far the best. The surprisingly the spinach one was fantastic as well. Such a surprise considering it is spinach. The third was tuna. It tasted like a fried tuna fish sandwich.

After lunch we went to the royal chapel. Caroline fell asleep as I carried her around. On our way back to the hotel Bennett wanted gelato, so Joel took Caroline, and Bennett and I enjoyed the hot sun. It was a gorgeous day. A little chilly in the shade but hot in the sun.

By the time Joel got back to the hotel with Caroline, Bennett and i were in the middle of gelato and she woke up. We walked back to the hotel to meet them, and bring the stroller.

We tried to get our tickets to Alhambra early, but no go. However the building was super cute:

We decided to head in to Albaicin, the Arabic neighborhood in Granada, obviously with the stroller. And of course, this was NOT the time to have a stroller, as walking through the neighborhood meant wandering steps heading uphill.








We weren’t too far from the hotel so we decided to drop off the stroller there. While Joel ran the stroller to the hotel, we watched some flamenco performers:

We stopped for a snack, which inadvertently became our dinner. We had an amazing view of Alhambra:

We promised Caroline gelato if she walked, so we had to keep our promise. I’m pretty amazed she let us string her along until after our snack dinner, since at that time, I told her we were going to get gelato, and just ordered food.
