Life has been busy as of late. Caroline was not enjoying life last week. After a few days of inconsolable screaming, I was convinced she hated me. Turns out she had an ear infection... And RSV. She is much better now and so much happier! If we can only get her to sleep on her own, we'll be in business. 

Last week started off well. With a nice warm day, we went for a walk. 

Everyone loved it and both kiddos had rosy cheeks afterwards. 

Tuesday Bennett put his mittins in by himself and Caroline took a little nap in her crib. 

The nap was less than a half hour and she woke up MAD. 

Wednesday I pulled goop out of her ear. 

She spent the rest of the day hating me and screaming. 

She wanted to suck for comfort but won't suck her thumb or take a pacifier. I wish she'd start doing one or the other!! She took her in to the doctor me found out it was an ear infection. She also weighed 16 pounds 5.5 oz. 

Thursday she looked even worse. 

But we went out so that Bennett could burn off some energy. We were there for 2 hours and he spent at least an hour in the swing. I guess we'll need to buy one. 

Caroline was pretty miserable, had thrown up a few times that day, and had a slight fever. We took her in to the doctor again. She was down to 16 lbs and tested positive for RSV. With the sicknes and how miserable she was feeling, we cancelled the baptism.  

Friday she actually seemed a little better but had runny eyes, a runny nose, goop coming out of her eye and ear, which the doctor said was normal. It was pretty gross. But Auntie Sara came to town and Bennett went on his first ride (because some other mom was putting money in as he was climbing on. Free ride!). He loved it.  

Saturday morning I asked Bennett what he wanted to do all day and he said, "Sara!" So we played with Auntie Sara, not that he had much of a choice. Bennett loved playing with her and I made Caroline an awesome headband. She was still stuffy and congested, and her eye was still running but she was much better than the day before. 

Sunday Caroline seemed much better. Still a bit of a teary eye but overall, so much improved. Auntie Sara went home and Caroline got another headband and angel wings. I hope some day she wants to play dress up with me, but right now she has to because I want to!

Yesterday (Monday) was Caroline's 4 month birthday. We went to a friends house in the morning. Caroline was very much back to her normal, still slightly temperamental, but generally happy self. Her best times are first thing in the morning and around 4 in the afternoon. She LOVES to chat and watch her brother in the afternoon. Maybe the afternoon happiness was due to turning 4 months! And Bennett put on Daddy's mittens. 

Today we had a slow start to our day. Bennett modeled his sunglasses for me. We went to the gym but otherwise mostly hung out at home.
